   I am a topologist working in Knot theoy and 3-dimensional manifolds. My reseach lies in TQFTs and Quantum Invariants of 3-manifolds. I am working now toward computing the Kauffman bracket skein module of the exterior of rational links.

 

  Recently, I have been interested to answer the following famous question in Knot theory: Does the Jones polynomial detect the unknot? This question has been an open problem for  around twenty years now. I believe that the answer is given by the following conjecture: The Jones polynomial does detect the unknot.  I hope one day to prove the above conjecture and solve this open problem.

We believe in things that we don't see and we don't believe in things that we do see. Therefore, don't believe only what you see!
