Dr. Rawashdeh is currently an assistant professor in the Telecommunication Engineering Department, Yarmouk University, Irbid, Jordan. He gets his PhD (with honors) from Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI, USA in 2018. Dr. Rawashdeh was a Research Associate in Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) laboratory in Michigan State University during his academic years of PhD study. He was a Teaching Assistant during his M.Sc. study ( 2005-2008) under supervision of Professor Nihad Dib and PhD study (2013-2018) under supervision of Professor Yiming Deng and though, He had taught a lot of graduate and undergraduate courses in electrical engineering with main interests in electromagnetics in Michigan State University, Jordan University of Science and Technology and Yarmouk University after getting his PhD in 2018 and in the period between 2004-2013 when he was a full time lecturer in Yarmouk University.
Dr. Rawashdeh's broad research interests include computational EM, microwave circuits design and analysis, non-destructive evaluation and testing and inverse problems. Dr Mohammad is in his starting of his research career, he has 16 published articles in an international journals and conferences. Dr. Rawashdeh had won a lot of academic prizes during his academic study: Engineering Fellowship (twice ) from Michigan State University, Graduate School Fellowship for Outstanding Graduates students ( twice) from Michigan State University. Best paper prize in MIC-Conference in 2008 and finally a full governmental scholarship for getting PhD in Michigan State University from Yarmouk University and he was honored from his Majesty, King Abdullah II, King of Jordan for supervising two outstanding undergraduate engineering graduation projects in 2012. Dr. Rawashdeh is a reviewer for many journals and conferences articles.
In nonacademic life in Michigan State University, Mohammad was the graduate student representative for graduate students in graduate studies and ECE Department committee (came by election). Also, Mohammad was a Steward representative for electrical and computer engineering graduate students in Graduate Employee Union (GEU) in Michigan. Mohammad was a member for many Department, College and University level committees. His main interests were in helping international students and students with disabilities. He was honored to give a speech in the Learning Abroad Conference 2016 to talk about his experience. The speech is published through YouTube and his story was published in MSU main website since he gets his PhD despite the accident and the related health issues that Mohammad faced during his PhD study. In social life and non-academical life, Dr. Rawashdeh is a public speaker and presenter and coordinator for many cultural, literary evenings, game shows and public ceremonies for different local events. Dr. Rawashdeh believe in true friendship and there is nothing impossible if you work hard. His favorite quote is:
“I think that nothing is impossible when you want to fulfill a dream. A lot of people will tell you that you can't do it, that you don't have what it takes, but if it is in your heart and you feel it, there is nothing that will stop you. It is like the sun - you can't block it: it will shine regardless, if that is what you want. “
