I have been working for the Dept. of Translation at Yarmouk
University since September 2013.
My area of specialization is teaching English
>Arabic translation. My research also includes translation studies,
mostly contrastive analysis of Arabic and English originals and their
translations into the other direction. I am also interested in the area of the
translation of political discourse and ideology and translation.
My PhD in Translation is from the University of Salford,
UK and is based on the application of critical discourse analysis (CDA) to
translation and the title of my thesis is: Translating Conjunctions in
Political Journalistic Argumentative Texts from English into Arabic.
worked as a part-time instructor and section designer for the delivery of the
M.A program in translation, the School of Languages and Area Studies, the
University of Portsmouth, UK; Assistant Professor of translation in the College
of Languages and Translation at King Saud University, Saudi Arabia; and before
that was employed as visiting lecturer at the University of Qatar, Qatar.
