Hydrology and geomorphology of desert environments
My research interest focuses on the intimately related disciplines of desert hydrology, rainfall-runoff modeling and vadose zone hydrology. Soil genesis and soil development in arid and semi arid environments. The application of geological-hydrological methods, concepts, and data to improve the general understanding of long-term trends in stream flow (extreme events in particular) and their linkage to climatic variability, channel response, and Quaternary stratigraphy. Study of hydroclimatic conditions that responsible for flood generation. Building flood magnitude-frequency record in ungaged basins using paleohydrology techniques ( slackwater deposits and paleostage indicator integrated with HEC-RAS software. I am also, interested in integrated watershed management in urban and suburban areas.
