Dr. Abdullah Tashtoush is an Assistant professor at the Biomedical
Engineering Department at Yarmouk University in Jordan. His interests lie in conducting
R&D Biosensors. He invented a new generation of biosensors, which is called
the Multi-Labs-On-Chip system (MLoC), and he published a book about it entitled
"CMOS Technology for IC Biosensor and Applications". He is working on
other two textbooks about CMOS technology and its challenges to be published soon.
Some papers are published in different journals and he attended conferences in Ottawa/Canada,
Istanbul/Turkey, Kuala Lumpur/Malaysia,
and Madrid/Spain. He established a new Biomedical transducer laboratory/VLSI
funded by scientific research deanship/Yarmouk University. Recently, he focused
on non-invasive surgeries using High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) technique.
HIFU is a highly precise medical procedure that applies high-intensity focused ultrasound
energy to locally heat and destroy diseased or damaged tissue through ablation.
HIFU is a promising technique for non-invasive ablation therapeutic. Besides, he
works on integrated artificial pancreas (IAP) system to infusion insulin/glycogen
subcutaneous accurately and adequately. Moreover, he devoted on some other biomedical
applications such as back pain, fat loss, and varicose vein therapeutic. He advocated
strongly toward achieving a target, which is engineer doctor.
