Ahmed Al-Shorman is an associate professor in Applied sciences in archaeology (archaeometry), Department of archaeology, Faculty of archaeology and anthropology, Yarmouk University. His background is in geology. He received his PhD. in archaeometry from Ruhr-University Bochum, and the German mining museum, Germany, 2009. Dr. Al-Shorman's dissertation title is "Refractory ceramic through the ages: an archaeometric study on finds from Fenan, Jordan and other sites".
