I received my B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2005 from Jordan University of Science and Technology, Irbid, Jordan, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from University of Central Florida, Orlando, USA, in 2008 and 2011, respectively. In 2016, I joined the Department of Electrical Power Engineering at Yarmouk University in Jordan as an Assistant Professor. From 2012 to 2016, I was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering at the United Arab Emirates University in Al Ain. From 2011 to 2012, I was with Coda Automotive (previously EnergyCS), Inc., Los Angeles, USA.   

My current research focuses on developing advanced PV MPPT algorithms, developing advanced energy management and modeling techniques for Energy Storage applications, and improving the power quality and efficiency of Micro-inverters. I have +7 years of combined industrial, research and teaching experience. I have over 40  technical papers (published or accepted) in refereed journals and conference proceedings. I have successfully competed for a number of research grants totaling over $393k as of August 2018. I was awarded multiple Research Excellence Awards at two educational institutes (in 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018), and a Graduate Research Assistantship Award at University of Central Florida (2007-2011).
