Areej M. Yassin (PhD, MS, MBA) 

Areej M. Yassin is an assistant professor in the Management Information Systems Department, Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Sciences at Yarmouk University in Jordan. 

Dr. Yassin earned the Ph.D. degree in Business Information Systems from the University of South Florida in May 2010. In the fall of the same year, she joined the Faculty of her alma mater as an assistant professor in the MIS department. She chaired the MIS department from 2011-2013. She was named Distinguished Alumni of Yarmouk University on Feb 5, 2014.

Dr. Yassin received her B.S. degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration from Yarmouk University, where she was on the Dean’s Honor List several times and was awarded the University Graduate Scholarship. She earned both her MS in Management Information Systems and MBA degrees from the University of South Florida, where she maintained a 4.0 GPA. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma honor societies.

Before pursuing her academic career, Dr. Yassin held several positions in industry. She is an Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and Microsoft Certified Office User Specialist (MOUS Master).
