2016 Outstanding Graduate Teaching Fellowship
Dr. Hussein Al-Masri has been selected as an outstanding Graduate Teaching Fellow on Fall 2016 for his excellent academic standing. The competition was college wide and a committee consisting of department heads and faculty members reviewed all applications and made final recommendations. The purpose of the Dwight Look College of Engineering Teaching Fellows Program is to prepare and encourage doctoral students to pursue academic careers. This will give the selected students a supervised teaching experience that will help them compete for faculty positions at top tier universities.

Dr. Hussein has been awarded a travel grant as one of the student ambassadors at the department of Electrical Engineering at Texas A&M University in order to present a paper at the 2015 IEEE Industry Application Society Annual Conference at Dallas/USA.

Three conference attendance support awards
Dr. Hussein has been awarded three research support awards to present parts of his work out from his PhD dissertation at the 2015 IEEE International Conference on Environment and Electrical Engineering (EEEIC), the 2016 IEEE International Symposium on Power Electronics, Electrical Drives, Automation and Motion (SPEEDAM) and the 2016 IEEE Industry Applications Society Annual Meeting.

Yarmouk University Prestigious Award for Graduate Students Academic Distinction
Dr. Hussein was awarded a first-top prestigious certificate, since his standing was the first among the Master degree graduate students at the Electrical Power Engineering department, Yarmouk University. Therefore, he has been granted a full scholarship to pursue his Ph. D. degree at Texas A&M University, College Station, USA.

Dr. Hussein was awarded a prestigious certificate of the outstanding undergraduate students for his academic distinction. Therefore, he has been granted an internal full scholarship to pursue his MSc. degree at the Electrical Power Engineering department, Yarmouk University.

Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility Scholarship Award, Yarmouk University, Winter 2021.
He has been granted the Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility Scholarship Award on Fall 2021. This is to teach short courses at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), Albacete campus, Spain. The competition was college wide and a committee from the Deanship of Scientific Research at Yarmouk University made final decisions. These decisions were made based on many evaluation indicators such as students evaluations, number of published research papers, h-index and the acceptance letter from UCLM. By the way, the Erasmus+ staff mobility program is an excellent opportunity for faculty members to not only build on their existing skills while meeting faculty members from other universities in the same field, but also experience a different culture and work environment.
