Isam Abu-Qasmieh was born in Kuwait in 1966. He received his
bachelor's degree in 1988 in Applied Physics from Kuwait university, and the
Ph.D. degree in Medical Physics in 2008 from the University of
Massachusetts/Lowell, USA. His doctoral research focused on the Diffusion Tensor
Imaging (DTI) using chirped diffusion gradients. From 2018 to present, he is an
associate Professor in the department of Biomedical Systems and Informatics
Engineering at Yarmouk University. He has published about 38 papers in prestigious
journals and refereed conference proceedings. His current research interests
include generation of synthetic medical imaging images from another medical
imaging modality images. Also, he has an interest in segmentation and classification
of 3D human organ shapes from volumetric human 3D images and in 3D shape
modeling and recognition.
